·        This is a note that the Flying V Pizza Co and cafe will be closed until Christmas due to Christmas dinner caterings. Sorry for any inconvenience and we will re-open in the New Year.

·        Mrs. Curran's period 4 class is to report to room 209 today only.  Thank you

·        Alpha will continue after school on Thursday in room 212. Bring $5 for pizza. Come on out, everyone is welcome.


·        A big congrats goes out to all of Villanova's 'B' league curling team members.  This season was a tough one, but we proved that Wildcats truly will fight their way to the end and stand with great pride as they do so.Our teams finished in the top 4 places in our city divisions.  Congrats to: Jack Wirag, Emma Harris, Elise Brunet, Matteo Desando, Logan Delorey, Michael Powney, William Erdman, Joel Badour, Oliver Chappus and Keith McGregor.  Hurry hard team as we head into 'A' league play!!

·        This past weekend the Jr. boys basketball participated in the annual Rebel Classic. The boys played well both Friday and Saturday with a 1 point defeat stopping them from playing in the consolation Final and the team finished with a 2 and 2 record. Special mention goes to Alec Boucher and Max Gebrail for outstanding play on both ends of the floor all weekend.

·        Good luck to our Villanova curling teams as they play their last season game tonight at Roseland. Currently our two teams are sitting in 3 and 4 in the overall standings. Throw well Wildcats!

·        Congratulations to the Junior Girls Volleyball Team on their appearance in the finals at the St. Clair College Invitational tournament on Friday. The girls came out strong winning their pool and after a hard fought match with Herman they went on to easily defeat St. Annes to advance to the finals against a strong Sandwich Team. The girls put up a great effort but could not stop the powerful Sabre hitters. Congratulations to the team and they are reminded of their practice tonight at 2:30.

·        Congratulations goes out to the senior girls’ volleyball team who took home the St. Clair invitational volleyball tournament championship over this past weekend.  After finishing in first in their pool the team continued their winning streak right to the end where they took home the gold.  Special congratulations goes out to setter Emily Tracey and middle hitter Chantal Kelly who were awarded the team all-stars chosen by the St. Clair women's team.  Reminder practice tonight at 2:30.

·        Art club is Wednesday this week instead of Tuesday.


·        There is a brief swim meeting in the atrium at this time; all swimmers please meet in the atrium for a brief meeting at this time. Caps have arrived. Thank you

  • In last night's curling games our teams won one battle and lost another. Every player that was on the ice last night was seen truly enjoying the game and showing honest sportsmanship that Villanova is proud to say is Wildcat pride. Last season game is Monday at Roseland at 3:30. No practice tonight

  • Attention GSA members: We will be meeting as a group today in ROOM 104 during second lunch.  If you do not have second lunch you are only allowed to attend IF you are a regular member and DO NOT have an assessment during this time. That's GSA, today, room 104, second lunch.


  • Congratulations goes out to Zach Coste for being chosen to the All Star team by the entirety of the WECSSAA coaching staff.

·         Good luck to our Villanova curling teams as they play their second last game at the B division level.

Last night the junior boy’s basketball team started their season of with a 58-49 win. The boys were led by Mario Caruana offensively with 10 points and 5 assists and defensively by Kobe Iles. Good start to the season, but much work lies ahead. Practice tonight is at 2:30.

·        Attention all graduates.  Graduation pictures start tomorrow.  Please see your brochure for important information regarding your portrait sitting.  Your sitting fee must be paid at the time of your appointment.  Please be on time for your appointment.

·        Congratulations goes out to Zach Coste this morning for being chosen to the Sr. Football All-star team as voted on by the entirety of the WECSSAA football coaching staff!

·        Ms. Russo and Mr. Roehler would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the students who donated blood yesterday. Thanks to you someone may be able to spend Christmas at home with their family this year. Canadian Blood Services Thanks You!

·        Last night in curling action our Villanova Wildcats beat General Amherst but lost to St Joes. Practice tonight at Roseland. Only two more games left in the season teams!

·        Good luck to the junior and senior girls’ volleyball teams who kick off their season tonight on the road at Riverside High School.  Players who are taking the bus are reminded to meet in the gym hallway right after school today, bus will be leaving at 2:30.

·        Please dismiss the girl’s hockey team at 2:00 today for their game.


·        All those Jr & Sr football players who will be attending the Honour Guard on Sunday need to see Mrs. Coste at some point today to sign the sheet.

·        Attention Graduates.  It’s Grad photo time!  Lifetouch will be here to take grad portraits starting on December 6th.  Appointment times will be taken quickly so be sure to sign up right away.  Appointments can be made ONLINE.  The link to the appointment site is located on the back of your information brochure or on one of the many posters that are hung up in the school.  The website is www.lifetouch.ca/qkgrads.  Please keep in mind that only those graduation photographs taken through Lifetouch will be in the school’s yearbook and on the graduation composite.

·        A reminder to Mr Creps Period 4 Phys.Ed class that we are leaving for our field trip at 12:20 sharp from the phys.ed wing

·        Congratulations to all students and staff of the Wildcat community. Through your generosity, many individuals will be warm this winter as our Coats for Kids Campaign was a great success. An amazing amount of clothing was collected and you should all be commended on your efforts. The winning class was Mr. Gombai's, with a close second was Mrs. Grado's class, and another close third was Mrs. Brownlee's class. Congratulations Wildcats!
