Announcements October 8, 2014

 

• This is a final reminder that the University of Windsor will be here period 1Thursday, Oct. 9/14 to make a presentation to our Gr. 12 university bound students. The following period 1 teachers will be invited to attend this session:

Mr. Cuckovic

Ms. Curran

Ms. Frias

Ms. Wilder 

Ms. Grado's Gr. 12 students only, 

Mr. Paling's Gr. 12 students only, 

Ms. Spada's Gr. 12 students only 

In addition any Gr. 12 student on a spare is welcome. However, any other Gr. 12 student wishing to attend must see their counsellor for a pass to attend. So please note this date and plan accordingly for this session. It will be the entire period.

 

• Just a reminder that pizza will be on sale in the atrium and in front of Mr. Chiandussi's room tomorrow (Thursday) after school. The cost is $1.00 per slice. Get there quick as quantities last.

 

• The Art and English New York trip is filling up. Please bring in a $400 deposit cheque asap to Ms. Grado, Mrs. Harris or Mr. Janisse to guarantee your spot.

 

• Bring It On auditions start next week. The dance audition will take place next Tuesday in the auditorium after school. The acting and singing auditions will take place next Wednesday and Thursday. There is an information sheet as well as a sign up sheet on the drama classroom door. All gymnast or tumblers will audition next Tuesday in the auditorium on either lunch.

 

• Attention all students, On Thursday, October 9th, you can purchase a Spirit Pass during your Period 1 class.  The cost is $4.00.  With this pass you are allowed to Dress Down in Blue and Silver on Thursday, the 9th.  On Friday, the 10th, you can dress down in pajamas. On Tuesday, Oct 14th, you have to wear a uniform but it is crazy hair day.  On the 15th is is also a uniform day, but you get to wear nerdy accessories.  On Thursday, the 16th you can dress down for "Twin" day.  Finally, on Friday the 17th, it is pink day so you can dress down and wear pink to show your support for cancer.  There will also be games in the cafeteria every day of Spirit Week. Half of all proceeds will go towards Breast Cancer research.
