Exciting Event Coming Soon!

Villanova To Be Bestowed Golden Football From the NFL
Because Villanova grad, Luke Willson, #82 for the Seattle Sea Hawks, was both a winner and participating player in two Super Bowls, our school will be the recipient of a Golden Football celebrating those communities who support high school football and the character development that comes from such programming.  The presentation, by Luke himself, will be taking place during Seattle's bye week, November 2-6, here at the school.  More details will be posted as they come available.  Please see the letter I received from the NFL below:

Super Bowl 50 High School Honor Roll

Dear Mr. Hickson,
On behalf of the NFL, I would like to congratulate St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic High School and welcome you to the Super Bowl High School Honor Roll community celebrating schools that have contributed to Super Bowl history.
The Super Bowl High School Honor Roll platform links the past 49 Super Bowls with this year’s game and honors the high schools and communities that have positively impacted the game of football. Nearly 3,000 players and head coaches, and more than 2,000 high schools, will be recognized this season.
High schools across the country and globe will receive a commemorative Golden Football produced by Wilson for every player or head coach who graduated from the high school and was on an active Super Bowl roster. Players and coaches honored are from both teams that competed in the Super Bowl. Given that Luke Willson graduated from St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic High School, we are proud to induct your high school into the Super Bowl High School Honor Roll.
Honored schools, including St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic High School, will receive a NFL Character Education Curriculum and be eligible to apply for grants from the NFL Foundation to help support and grow their high school football programs.
St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic High School will receive its Wilson Golden Football and NFL Character Education Curriculum during the NFL season. We encourage St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic High School and its students to share photos and videos of your Golden Football moments on social media.
An assortment of Super Bowl High School Honor Roll visits were captured by NFL Films and will be featured on CBS This Morning (Thursday mornings) and in Thursday Night Football programming starting September 10 and continuing throughout the 2015 NFL season. We encourage you and your community to tune in to learn more about other high schools joining St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic High School in this exclusive community.
We are very excited to celebrate St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic High School. We look forward to working with you to bring this initiative to life.
Regards,
Alex Gerson

Good Luck Wishes for Homecoming Game From Luke Willson

Luke Willson Sends A Message To Senior Boys' Mudders

Just hours before leaving the hotel room in San Francisco to go to the field to play the 49er's, Luke Willson @LWillson_82 sent a message to the school, and Senior Boys' Football team in particular, wishing them luck against Tecumseh Vista today on our back campus at 1:00.  The boys will also be sporting their new uniforms donated by Luke.  The uniforms were modeled after those worn in 2008 when he and his twin older brothers, Eric and Greg, were instrumental in winning the WECSSAA Championship.

Luke Willson wishing the boys luck hours before his game against the San Francisco 49er's on Thursday Night Football.  Tight end Cooper Helfet added his support at the end.  Sea Hawks won 20-3.
