Announcements May 12, 2016
· Do you like free cookies and juice? Would you rather give your blood to people in need than to mosquitoes? Would you like to help save up to three lives? If you have answered yes to any of these questions and are 17 or older, please consider donating blood here at Villanova’s blood clinic on Tuesday May 17th. Signup in the Learning Commons for appointment times. Please also consider stopping by our Onematch bone marrow registry event which is also happening on May 17th. You do not need to donate blood to sign up, just stop by on Tuesday. Please see Ms. Russo or Mr. Roehler if you have any questions.
· The Villanova Sr. Girls Soccer team did us proud yesterday with a resounding 3-0 win over Holy Names in the WECSSAA semi-final game. Goal scorers were Savannah Marra, Jalyn Cirino, and Marissa Baldo. Breanna Vasko was stellar in net with the shutout. We have now secured a berth in the WECSSAA Championship game against St. Anne's at 4 o'clock this Tuesday at McHugh Park in Windsor. Due to league restructuring, this will mark the first time that Villanova will have to get through two former quads A teams to earn a league title. History could be made on Tuesday, so please come out and cheer for your Wilcats.
· The boy’s baseball team secured the number 3 seed in their division tonight with a convincing win over Massey, 10-2. Brendan Renaud and Owen Gagnon had great pitching performances. The offense was lead by Lucas DiLuca who had 4 rbi. The will now prepare for the WECSSAA tournament which begins this coming Monday. Play hard boys!
· To those students who have helped run blood drives in the past: please see Ms. Russo to sign up for your volunteer time.
