·       Attention Mr. O'Keefe's YPI winners: please see the list outside of room 231 for your YPI semi-final presentation dates and times.  Please confirm with Mr. O'Keefe after you have done so. 

 

·       Would all members of the skating team please report to the atrium at this time for a retake of their team photo for the yearbook.

 

·       Attention all Football players... there will be an important meeting this Thursday at the beginning of 1st lunch in room 203... that's this Thursday at the beginning of 1st lunch in room 203.

·       The girl’s softball season came to an end yesterday with a hard fought semifinal game vs Amherst. The girls put up 17 runs but fell just short. Best of luck to graduating seniors Robyn Marentette and Jacklyn Yewchyn. Also, special congratulations to first team all stars Carli Dumeah and Mary O'Neil!!

 

·       Attention all Junior and Senior Girls Soccer team members: athletic banquet tickets must be picked up by this Friday if you plan on attending. See Ms. McMahon in the phys ed office to pick them up.  Also, any outstanding soccer uniforms must be given to Mr. Corazza immediately. Finally, Lindsey Campbell is to get her athletic fee money to Mr. Corazza ASAP.

 

·       Today, today, today is the school wide BBQ for anyone who is hungry for a burger, hotdog, chips, pop or a freeze. We will be located at the concession stand at the grandstand. Burgers are $3, hotdogs are $2 and a combo plate with 3 items is 5 and 4 dollars and all plates come with penne pasta salad.

·       For students or staff interested in taking animals from the living lab home for the summer, please pick up and fill out the permission form, then come for training and a habitat for your animal of choice. Lastly, enjoy your new friend for the summer

 

·       Junior boys soccer players are reminded to see Mr. Crep for their athletic tickets for Tuesday June 14th - your tickets are already paid for and they can be picked up in the athletic office before Friday June 10th.

 

·       Students are reminded that deposits for the trip are due June 9th, see Ms. Voegeli or Ms. Bastien.

·       The Annual Athletic Banquet is scheduled for Tuesday June 14th at the Fogolar Furlan Club.  Tickets are now available for pick up in the phys ed office and will be available only until Friday June 10th.  Extra tickets are available for parents, grandparents and siblings for $20.00 and can be purchased in the phys ed office.  Looking forward to seeing all of this year's athletes for our final celebration of the year.  For further information please see Ms McMahon in the phys ed office

 

·       A  BIG thank you to those students that came out to volunteer for Art in the Park.   It was a great weekend and it could not have been successful with the help of all the student volunteers that come out.  If any students still need to have their community service forms signed, see Mrs. Hyland in Room 236 or in Prep 2.

 

·       Last chance to purchase senior shirts.  They will be on sale during lunch until Thursday.  $17.00 for the royal blue and $21 for the navy blue.

       Last week, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the best track and field athletes in Ontario descended on Windsor for OFSAA.  It was an amazing performance of the best high school competitors, and Villanova was proudly represented by the junior girls relay team of Tatjana Kirincic, Chloe Gignac, Jalyn Cirino, and Kristen Swaitoschik.  Although they did not advance to the finals for their event, they have had a very successful season.  Congratulations, ladies!

 

       Also representing the Wildcats and advancing to the top 8 in triple jump was Mandy  Brunet who finished 5th in all Ontario with a jump of 10.96m.  Way to go, Mandy.

Announcements June 2, 2016


·      Attention Graduates: Nomination Forms for Valedictorian are now available and can be picked up in the Main Office.  Forms must be filled in completely and turned in to Ms. Spada by Monday, June 6.  Voting from a list of eligible candidates will occur on Thursday, June 9.  Please keep in mind you can only nominate or endorse one candidate.

 

·      The following Jr. Girls Soccer team members are to hand their team uniforms in to Mr. Corazza immediately: Bianca Carvalho, Bianca Ciampa, Sarah Hearn, Noelle Lafrancois, and Nicole Pignanelli.

 

·      Congratulations to Natalia Glaz for her effort at the recent OFSAA Tennis tournament in Toronto. Natalia went undefeated in ladies' singles on day 1 and the morning of day 2, clearly dominating each game and match. Unfortunately by Tues. evening, Natalia was edged out of the competion. Congratulations to this year's WECSSAA and SWOSSAA champ and her great effort at OFSAA. Way to go Natalia!

·      The girls softball team qualified for the semifinals at WECSSAA. They defeated St. Anne's, Harrow and Essex. Good luck on Monday ladies.
